Terms And Conditions

Paws In The Park (‘Paws In The Park  or ‘we’ or ‘our’) and the Client whose name and address is set out on the contract form (the ‘Client’ or ‘you’ or ‘your’) agree to the following terms and conditions:-

1) Paws In The Park is authorised by the Client to carry out the pet care services as specified in the completed contract form(s) which also forms part of this contract subject to these terms and conditions

2) Cancellations: For cancellations of a regular walking service 4 weeks’ notice is required. For cancellations of one-off or 1 or more walks in a week as part of your regular service a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required. If the required notice is not given then a 100% charge will be applied.

3) Should we be requested to work outside the hours of 8am to 5pm (Mon to Fri and on Bank Holidays) additional charges are applicable at our standard overtime rates.

4) The Client agrees to pay promptly all fees due within 7 days of date of invoice.  Paws In The Park reserves the right to levy an interest charge of 3.5 % per month for unpaid balances after 14 days of the due date for payment. An administration fee (£40) together with bank charges incurred by Paws In The Park will be charged on all stopped or dishonoured cheques. Our fees are reviewed annually.

5) The Client must provide suitable collars or harnesses and leads (and where necessary muzzles) for the Dog. Paws In The Park reserves the right to refuse to walk the Dog if a suitable collar or harness and lead or muzzle is not provided and to be paid in full as though that walk had taken place. Should pets require any additional supplies whilst in the care of Paws In The Park these will be purchased and added to the bill.

6) The utmost care will be given in watching both your pet(s) and your home, if applicable. However, due to the extreme unpredictability of animals, Paws In The Park will not be held liable by the Client for the disappearance, death or injury of pets or animals through no fault of Paws In The Park.  If you require your dog to be allowed off the lead, Paws In The Park requires that you accept full responsibility if your dog runs away, gets lost or injured.

7) The Client will either ensure that access is given to Paws In The Park to collect the Dog from the agreed address at the agreed times or give Paws In The Park a key to the place where the Dog is kept. Paws In The Park will use the key to collect and return the Dog and for no other purpose and will keep it safe, not let anyone else have it, not copy it and will return it to the Customer on demand.

8) The Client will fully inform Paws In The Park of any characteristics, illnesses or behavioural changes in the Dog which needs to be known for the safe handling and care of the Dog and any other dogs in the care of the Walker. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of the contract.

9) In the event of inclement weather or natural disaster, Paws In The Park is entrusted to use reasonable judgement in caring for your pet(s). Paws In The Park shall not be held responsible for any consequences related to such decisions unless Paws In The Park has acted negligently.

10) Paws In The Park is fully authorised by the signature of the Client to these terms and conditions to seek and obtain veterinary care required for the Client’s pet subject to the Client being responsible for all costs incurred including but not limited to  transportation charges, cost of veterinary treatment and expenses and the Client shall reimburse Paws In The Park for all expenses incurred in relation to such veterinary care plus any additional fees incurred by Paws In The Park.

In the event that we are required to administer medication to your pet(s) in your absence,  we cannot be held responsible for any consequences should any doses be missed because of an inability to give the medication, for whatever reason at the time of the visit or due to personal injury to the Paws In The Park walker / carer.

11) Customers will be solely responsible for any medical expense and damages resulting from injury to the Paws In The Park staff or other persons, by the pet.

12) Should the assigned Paws In The Park Walker be taken ill or have to leave the house in an emergency then every effort will be taken to obtain the services of an alternative Paws In The Park Walker if necessary.

13) The Client confirms that all pets are on a regular flea and worm control regime, fully vaccinated and in good health.

14) Should a Paws In The Park Walker or other pet(s) in their care, be bitten or otherwise exposed to any disease or ailment received from the Client’s pet, the Client shall be responsible for payment of all costs, including loss of earnings, incurred by the Paws In The Park Walker in obtaining treatment for themselves and the pet(s).

15) Paws In The Park reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time before or during its term if Paws In The Park  in its sole discretion, determines that the Client’s pet(s) poses a danger to the health or safety of the Paws In The Park Walker, other persons or other pets.

16) Paws In The Park has Public Liability Insurance to the value of £2,000,000. This includes cover for the loss and / or damage to third party property and / or bodily injury to third party / persons and or domestic pets.

17) Although Paws In The Park holds Public Liability insurance, it is the responsibility of the client to hold pet insurance and to inform their own pet insurers/home insurers that Paws In The Park have been engaged to provide pet care services.

18) In the event that the Paws In The Park Walker is required to employ the services of a locksmith to gain entry into the Client’s premises due to reasons beyond the control of Paws In The Park  it shall be the Client’s responsibility to reimburse all costs incurred and expressly gives the Paws In The Park Walker the authority to employ a locksmith in such circumstances.
